Overview
The PWR-9-RPM is a 1RU horizontal rackmount power distribution unit from Middle Atlantic's Essex line, delivering 9 NEMA 5-15R outlets at 15A/120VAC with a front-panel local amp meter. The meter shows live current draw so you can verify load balance and catch overdrawn circuits before a breaker trips — practical in dense equipment racks where it's easy to lose track of cumulative draw across NVRs, switches, and encoders. The NEMA 5-15P corded input keeps installation straightforward: plug directly into a facility circuit or UPS output. Basic surge protection is included. The flat black finish and standard 19-inch panel width fit any EIA-310 rack without modification.
Compatibility
Fits any standard 19-inch EIA-310 equipment rack requiring 1RU of vertical space. Compatible with Middle Atlantic rack enclosures across the ERK, WRK, and BGR series, as well as third-party 19-inch racks from APC, Tripp Lite, Eaton, and similar manufacturers. Appropriate for network video recorders, PoE switches, video encoders, and other security or AV equipment drawing standard 120VAC power. The 9-outlet count accommodates mixed loads: for example, an NVR, a managed switch, a UPS bypass, and auxiliary devices in a single rack section. Not rated for 240VAC or three-phase environments — confirm your facility supply is 120VAC/15A before installing. The 5-15P plug is not compatible with 20A (5-20R) or IEC C14/C20 circuits without an adapter; plan your power infrastructure accordingly.
