Overview
The ATEN US4324 is a 2-computer, 4-port USB 3.2 Gen 1 sharing switch designed for environments where multiple workstations need to access a shared set of peripherals. This rack-mountable unit simplifies device sharing for tasks like data transfer, peripheral management, or collaborative work, reducing the need for duplicate hardware. The US4324 model allows two PCs to share four USB 3.2 Gen 1 devices, supporting data transfer speeds up to 5 Gbps.
Compatibility
This switch is compatible with any host computer running Windows, macOS, or Linux that supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 connectivity. It supports a wide range of USB 3.2 Gen 1 peripherals including external hard drives, printers, scanners, webcams, and other data transfer devices. The included USB cables are standard Type-A to Type-A, ensuring broad compatibility with most PC setups.

The ATEN US4324 is designed for rack mounting, with dimensions suitable for standard 19-inch racks. It operates within a humidity range of 10–80% RH (non-condensing). Power is supplied via the connected computers' USB ports (2 orange indicators on the bottom side suggest power draw). Port selection is managed via a front-panel pushbutton or an included remote port selector, allowing flexible operation without physically accessing the switch.
