ELK Products ELK-924 Wireless Panic Button
Overview
The ELK-924 is a compact wireless panic button designed to activate an alarm system regardless of current system status. Measuring 52 × 54.5 × 10mm and weighing under 30 grams, it fits a standard keychain — a practical form factor for seniors and staff who need one-touch emergency dispatch without fumbling with codes or interfaces. Transmits across an 80-meter open-area radius at 315MHz or 433.92MHz, depending on your system's frequency allocation.
Compatibility
The ELK-924 integrates with ELK Products security control panels and alarm systems that support the BP-1 wireless panic button protocol. Verify your panel's wireless receiver supports 315MHz or 433.92MHz operation before deployment. This accessory is designed as a companion to ELK's main control systems — consult your system documentation or installer to confirm receiver compatibility and frequency matching for your installation.
Installation Notes
The ELK-924 is powered by a single CR2032 button cell battery, delivering nominal 3V DC. Typical alarm-trigger current draw is ≤7mA, yielding reasonable battery life in low-frequency use (occasional emergency activation only). Operating temperature range is −10°C to +55°C with relative humidity ≤80% non-condensing — suitable for most indoor environments and light weather exposure. Replace the battery when the transmitter no longer activates the panel; no special tools required.
The ABS plastic housing withstands normal wear and keychain carry, but the device is not rated for submersion or heavy mechanical stress. Mount or carry indoors or in covered areas. If exposed to prolonged outdoor weather, shield from rain and direct UV.
