Overview
The i-PRO NVR-R-2-80TB-V2 is a 2U rack-mount network video recorder built for enterprise surveillance operations recording at 300–1000 Mbps sustained throughput. Dual Intel Xeon Silver 8-core processors with 64GB RAM handle simultaneous multi-stream recording, live playback, and retrieval without bottleneck. Usable storage reaches 80TB (5 x 20TB enterprise drives in RAID 5), supporting extended retention across mid-to-large camera networks. VideoInsight server software is preloaded and activated — deploy out of the box without licensing overhead. The system targets data centers, transportation hubs, retail chains, and critical infrastructure where 24/7 reliability and forensic archive depth matter.
Compatibility
The NVR-R-2-80TB-V2 integrates with any ONVIF-compliant camera and third-party VMS via dual 1GB BASE-T network ports (standard) and dual 10GB SFP+ ports (high-performance). VideoInsight Edition supports RTSP, MJPEG, H.264, and H.265 streams from i-PRO and compatible manufacturer camera lines. Rack integration requires standard 19-inch EIA mounting with 3.41 inches of vertical clearance (2U form factor). Rail kits are sold separately and must be ordered for non-standard rack depths.
Installation Notes
Mounting requires standard EIA rack rails (not included). The system draws 2x 1100W hot-swap redundant power supplies — provision dual, independently routed PDU feeds to eliminate single points of failure. Network: deploy 10GB SFP+ for backbone links when recording rates exceed 600 Mbps; 1GB BASE-T suffices for lower-throughput mixed deployments. M.2 SSD drives (RAID 1) hold the OS; HDDs populate up to 12 x 3.5-inch bays. Weight is 63 lbs; plan for reinforced server rail and proper load distribution.
