Overview
The EZ01-MA00-GLB is a compact serial-to-Ethernet device server that puts a single legacy serial device onto an IP network. If you have a controller, sensor, or industrial instrument that only speaks RS-232/422/485 and needs to report into a modern IP-based system, this is the bridge — no swapping out working field hardware just to get it on the network. Its small footprint (5.39 in x 3.74 in x 1.18 in) suits tight panel or DIN-rail-adjacent installs where a full rack-mount terminal server is overkill for one device.
Compatibility
Works with any single serial-based device presenting an RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 interface — access control panels, PLCs, UPS units, environmental sensors, and other point-of-sale or industrial equipment that predates native Ethernet. Network side connects over a single RJ-45 port running 10/100/1000 Mbps auto-sensing, so it drops into standard Gigabit switch infrastructure without forcing a slower network segment. Installation Notes
Powers from the included supply at 9V/1A typical draw (1.7W typical consumption), terminating in a 2.1mm locking barrel plug rated to 12VDC — the locking connector matters in panel installs where vibration or cable tension can back out a friction-fit barrel plug over time. The universal AC supply ships with US, EU, UK, and AU plug adapters, useful if this unit is heading to a multi-region deployment or a distributed integrator stocking one SKU for several countries.
