Description

CyberPower EC450G Standby UPS

Overview

The CyberPower EC450G is a standby (offline) UPS designed to provide essential battery backup and surge protection for sensitive electronics. It delivers a clean sine wave output, safeguarding against power fluctuations and brief outages. This unit is suitable for protecting single workstations, point-of-sale systems, or network equipment where consistent power is critical. The EC450G offers 450VA/260W capacity and features 8 AC outlets, with 4 providing battery backup and surge protection, and the remaining 4 offering surge protection only. Its compact form factor makes it easy to deploy in space-constrained environments.

Compatibility

This UPS is designed for general-purpose use with standard AC-powered devices. It is compatible with most desktop computers, monitors, routers, modems, and small network switches. The 450VA/260W rating is appropriate for systems drawing up to 260 watts continuously. For devices requiring constant power or experiencing frequent brownouts, consider a line-interactive or online UPS with higher VA/Wattage ratings. Ensure your connected equipment's total power draw does not exceed the UPS's capacity.

Installation Notes

Connect the UPS to a grounded wall outlet using the NEMA 5-15P plug. Plug your critical equipment into the 'Battery + Surge Protection' outlets to ensure they receive backup power during an outage. Connect less critical devices to the 'Surge Protection Only' outlets. The UPS operates within an input voltage range of 96-140V AC and a frequency range of 47-63 Hz. Output voltage is regulated to +/- 5% of 120V AC. It features audible alarms for low battery and overload conditions, with an EMI/RFI noise filtering capability to reduce interference. The surge energy rating is 426 Joules.
