Description

Panduit AJC25-A-C Adhesive-Backed J-Clip Wire Management System

The Panduit AJC25-A-C delivers tool-free wire routing for low-voltage installations where drilling or surface penetration isn't an option. This adhesive-backed J-clip handles bundles up to 0.25\" (6.4mm) diameter — ideal for single CAT6 drops, 18/2 access control pairs, or small sensor cable runs along door frames, drop ceilings, or finished surfaces. The flexible PVC design snaps cords into place with finger pressure, then holds them securely against vibration and gravity without crushing jacket insulation. At 0.31\" profile height, these clips disappear behind equipment racks or under desks while keeping cable dress professional. Indoor-rated for commercial security, access control, and AV installations.

Key Features

  • 0.25\" max bundle diameter — fits single CAT6, 18/2, RG59 siamese, or 2-3 bundled 22AWG pairs
  • Rubber adhesive backing bonds to painted metal, plastic junction boxes, PVC conduit, drywall, and powder-coated surfaces without fasteners
  • Flexible PVC construction — snap cables in laterally, clip retains tension without cracking or deforming
  • 0.31\" (7.9mm) low-profile height clears tight spaces behind access panels, along ceiling grids, or inside equipment cabinets
  • Light gray finish blends with standard office/commercial interiors and white drop ceilings
  • 100-piece package supports typical 4-door access control retrofit or 6-8 camera drop cleanup projects
  • RoHS compliant for integration into environmentally regulated installations

The adhesive bond strength on the AJC25-A-C is engineered for permanent indoor mounting on clean, dry surfaces — not repositionable. Surface prep matters: wipe mounting area with isopropyl alcohol, let dry 60 seconds, press clip firmly for 10 seconds, then allow 24-hour full cure before loading cables. The rubber-based adhesive tolerates normal HVAC temperature swings (50–90°F) but will fail in direct sun exposure, high-humidity spaces above 80% RH, or anywhere subject to water contact. For exterior camera drops, use screw-mount Panduit clips or cable staples instead. The 0.25\" capacity spec is a hard limit — forcing oversized bundles (like 4-pair CAT6 + siamese RG59) will either pop the clip open or cause adhesive failure under sustained load.

Common deployment: securing vertical camera drops along commercial door frames where the cable runs exposed for 6–18\" between a concealed conduit exit and the door controller. Space clips every 12\" on vertical runs, 18\" on horizontal. Use these for dress and strain relief, not as the primary support method on long vertical drops — transition to screw-mount J-hooks or cable tray for runs over 4 feet. The light gray color is near-neutral but not invisible; for high-visibility lobbies or executive spaces, paint clips to match trim before installation (adhesive side stays factory). Each 100-pack covers approximately 8–12 feet of dressed cable run at recommended spacing, so order quantity based on total linear footage across all drops, not per-device count.

RoHS compliance ensures compatibility with municipal and federal projects requiring lead-free, low-toxicity materials. Panduit's J-clip geometry — deeper curve radius than generic flat clips — prevents the sharp-angle kinking that can degrade CAT6 performance or damage shielded cable jackets on access control RS-485 pairs. For integrators running mixed cable types (data + power + control) on the same route, use separate clips per cable type to maintain separation and simplify future troubleshooting. The 1000-piece carton quantity suits volume contractors; 100-pack is right-sized for retrofit projects and service vans.
