Panduit UCCPU-C130 Universal Edge Clip for Parallel Cable Routing
The Panduit UCCPU-C130 is a parallel-mount edge clip engineered for routing PV wire and low-voltage cables along solar panel frames, equipment racks, and sheet-metal enclosures. Designed for outdoor solar installations and industrial cable management, this adjustable clip accommodates frame thicknesses from 0.04" to 0.12" and secures cables 0.25" to 0.30" in diameter. The integrated teeth-locking latch prevents lateral movement under vibration and thermal cycling. UV-stabilized acetal construction resists outdoor degradation. Sold in 100-piece contractor packs.
Key Features
- Adjustable edge-mount design fits frame widths 0.78"-1.38" (20-35mm) and thicknesses 0.04"-0.12" (1.0-3.0mm)
- Cable capacity 0.25"-0.30" diameter (6.5-7.5mm) — handles 10 AWG PV wire and similar gauge low-voltage cable
- Teeth-locking latch (UCCCUL-X130 included) prevents clip migration along frame edge
- UV-stabilized acetal withstands outdoor solar environments; black finish minimizes UV absorption
- Parallel "cable up" orientation routes wire perpendicular to mounting surface
- RoHS compliant; 100 clips per package, 1,000 per carton
The UCCPU-C130's adjustable jaw spans a 0.6" range in frame width, letting you standardize on one SKU across mixed solar panel manufacturers (frame profiles vary from 20mm to 35mm). The clip's acetal body flex-fits over the frame edge without tools; once seated, the included UCCCUL-X130 toothed latch slides into the body and locks against the frame's underside. This two-piece assembly creates a 4-point grip — top jaw, bottom jaw, and two latch teeth — that resists pull-out and lateral slide even when cables experience wind load or thermal expansion. The parallel "cable up" orientation (cable exits perpendicular to the panel surface) is the standard routing method for solar array interconnects, keeping wire clear of panel edges and simplifying cable tray transitions at array ends. Each clip measures 1.2" H × 1.1" L × 0.77" W and weighs negligible per unit; 100-clip pack adds minimal load to roof or ground-mount structures.
Primary application is photovoltaic wire management on crystalline and thin-film solar modules. The 0.25"-0.30" cable range covers USE-2 or PV wire in 10 AWG (the most common residential/commercial string conductor size) plus jacketed MC4-terminated cable assemblies. The clip's UV-stabilized acetal formulation is the same material Panduit specifies for outdoor telco and substation hardware — expect 20+ year service life under continuous UV exposure. The frame thickness tolerance (0.04"-0.12") accommodates both aluminum extrusions (typically 0.06"-0.08") and steel frames (0.10"-0.12"), so the same clip works for fixed-tilt racking, single-axis trackers, and building-integrated PV (BIPV) systems. Beyond solar, the UCCPU-C130 also clamps to rack rails, cabinet doors, and enclosure lips for low-voltage cable dressing in data centers and industrial control panels.
RoHS compliance ensures the clip contains no lead, mercury, cadmium, or restricted flame retardants — mandatory for equipment destined for California Title 24 projects or EU markets. The black acetal finish reduces surface temperature gain versus bare metal clips (important when wire insulation is rated 90°C and ambient roof temps hit 70°C). The 100-piece pack aligns with typical residential array sizes (20-30 panels × 3-4 clips per panel) and simplifies inventory for repeat solar integrators. Panduit's UCCCUL latch is keyed to the UCCPU body — you cannot accidentally mix incompatible parts across the Universal Cable Clip family. This is the parallel/cable-up variant; Panduit also manufactures perpendicular (cable-flat) and angled versions under different MPNs if your conduit entry or tray transition demands a different routing geometry.
