Overview
The Comelit UT9161B is a flush-mounted wall frame designed to integrate one Ultra module into a recessed electrical box installation. It solves the deployment problem of achieving a clean, minimalist appearance at building entrances and lobbies where surface-mounted hardware looks out of place. The frame uses a metal support that secures the module without screws and includes a die-cast aluminum finishing frame treated with cataphoresis — a process that hardens the surface against chemical, environmental, and UV damage. Protrusion from the wall is 10 mm, meaning it sits nearly flush against the surface once the module is installed.
Compatibility
The UT9161B frame is designed for Comelit Ultra entrance panel modules and works with flush-mounted boxes (Comelit art. 3110/1 and 3110/1A). Multiple frames can be fitted horizontally side by side to accommodate multi-module layouts in larger vestibules or access corridors. Verify that your Ultra module form factor and depth align with the frame cavity before ordering — the UT9161B accommodates one standard Ultra module only.
Installation Notes
The frame requires a recessed electrical box (3110/1 or 3110/1A) installed into the wall. No screws are needed to secure the module to the frame — the metal support clips it in place. The 10 mm depth allows the frame to sit nearly flush, making it suitable for new construction rough-ins and retrofit work where wall thickness permits a shallow recess. Ensure the junction box is square and level before mounting the frame to avoid binding or misalignment of the module face.
