Overview
The Comelit UT8090S is a wall-mounted entrance panel combining a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen, integrated wide-angle video camera, and omnidirectional audio for VIP (video intercom) systems in residential and multi-unit buildings. The device mounts surface-flush (35mm protrusion only) and draws power via PoE, eliminating the need for dedicated 24V runs at the entry point. Its field of view spans 160° horizontal and 100° vertical — wide enough to capture full-body visitors and packages without blind spots at typical residential entry distances.
Compatibility
The UT8090S integrates into Comelit VIP systems and supports standard PoE infrastructure (802.3af/at). The unit comprises three modular components: audio/video module (UT8020), touchscreen module (UT9270), and surface-mounted housing (UT9173). It connects to access control ecosystems via Wiegand output, supports RFID card readers for keyless entry, and includes Bluetooth for mobile pairing. Two-way audio routes through the built-in microphone and dual loudspeakers, enabling voice communication between visitors and residents or building staff. The touchscreen supports customizable virtual keypads, direct-call buttons with logos, and welcome message display.
Installation Notes
Dimensions are 110mm wide × 289mm tall × 35mm deep — verify available wall space and power sourcing before purchase. The capacitive 5-inch display includes impact-proof glass and twilight sensor for automatic backlight adjustment in variable outdoor lighting. Surface mounting requires standard wall anchors or embedded conduit routing; confirm mounting surface material and structural capacity. PoE power eliminates dedicated low-voltage wiring but confirm your PoE switch can deliver sufficient current (consult Comelit load specifications). The device supports black or white theme selection for aesthetic integration with building entry design.
