Comelit IKPP1 Pedestrian Pedestal 1 Module
Overview
The Comelit IKPP1 is a single-module pedestrian pedestal designed for outdoor street-level installations where access control or intercom equipment must withstand weather exposure and physical contact. This pedestal mounts one Ikall module and provides a vandal-resistant enclosure suitable for campus perimeters, parking entries, and gate access points. The IKPP1 solves the deployment problem of protecting weather-exposed credential readers and audio/video intercom interfaces without requiring a wall-mounted cabinet or buried infrastructure.
Compatibility
The IKPP1 integrates with the Comelit Ikall modular intercom and access control system. It accommodates any single Ikall module, including audio/video intercoms, credential readers (card, badge, biometric interfaces), and call stations. The pedestal operates within Comelit's IP-based architecture and supports standard ethernet connectivity for intercom and access management integration. Confirm module type compatibility with your Ikall system configuration before ordering.
Installation Notes
The IKPP1 requires a concrete pad or level ground foundation for stable mounting in outdoor environments. Standard electrical infrastructure (power and ethernet) must run to the pedestal base; conduit routing is recommended for cable protection. The unit is designed for direct weather exposure — ensure drainage around the base and verify local building codes permit pedestal-mounted access equipment in your jurisdiction. Tools and fasteners for ground installation are not included; coordinate with your site electrician and integrator for proper commissioning.
