Overview

The Comelit 1414 is a riser shunt module that branches a second BUS line from a Simplebus Top mixer, extending intercom topology across multi-floor or multi-zone deployments. It integrates into wall or DIN-rail infrastructure without requiring a separate power supply—the 2-wire bus itself provides power. Use this module when you need to distribute intercom nodes beyond the primary riser path or when layout requires a secondary branch line.

Compatibility

Designed for Simplebus 2 video systems. Works with Simplebus Top mixers (parts 4888 or 4888C). Supports modular expansion across networked intercom installations. Each mixer can serve up to 100 users regardless of the number of 1414 branch modules deployed.

Installation Notes

The 1414 branches outbound BUS traffic from the mixer to a second riser run. By default, line protection is disabled but can be enabled if needed. Mount the unit on wall or DIN-rail in your equipment room or intermediate enclosure. No external power required—2-wire bus power is sufficient. Integration into existing Simplebus Top cabling and topology follows standard commercial intercom wiring practices.
