Description

Panduit UTP6AX4YL Cat 6A 4ft Yellow Patch Cord

Overview

The Panduit UTP6AX4YL is a 4-foot Category 6A unshielded twisted pair (UTP) patch cord designed for high-speed data transmission. Its 24 AWG solid copper construction with a CM flammability rating ensures reliable performance in commercial building riser applications. The integrated tangle-free latch simplifies moves, adds, and changes, while the pre-installed RapidID barcodes streamline network documentation and port mapping. This cord is engineered to support 10GBASE-T Ethernet and is rated for PoE++ (802.3bt) applications, ensuring sufficient power delivery for demanding network devices.

Compatibility

This patch cord is built to exceed ANSI/TIA-568.2-D Category 6A and ISO 11801 Class EA standards, guaranteeing interoperability with any certified Category 6A network infrastructure. It supports IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at, and 802.3bt (Type 3 and Type 4) Power over Ethernet applications, making it compatible with PoE-powered devices such as IP cameras, wireless access points, and VoIP phones. It is wired for compatibility with both T568A and T568B termination schemes.

Installation Notes

The solid foil tape construction is critical for limiting alien crosstalk, a common issue in high-density 10Gb/s deployments. The tangle-free latch design allows for a fast, snag-free release, reducing installation time and preventing damage to the connector or adjacent ports. The pre-installed RapidID barcodes simplify port identification when used with compatible RapidID software, expediting network audits and troubleshooting.
