RJ45 connectors ensure plug-and-play integration with existing network infrastructure. Compatibility
The VCS-4P1 works with any PoE-powered IP camera, access control reader, or network device requiring 802.3at power delivery over standard Ethernet. It is compatible with fixed and PTZ surveillance cameras, IP intercoms, and door controllers drawing under 3W per port. No special configuration is required—the switch operates as a passive PoE injector with plug-and-play Ethernet connectivity. Verify your powered device's PoE requirement does not exceed 3W; devices requiring higher power (e.g., pan-tilt-zoom cameras with heaters) will not operate reliably on this unit.
Installation Notes
Install using standard Cat5, Cat5e, or Cat6 Ethernet cable rated for your environment. For outdoor runs, use UV-resistant or armored variants. The switch requires no power supply or external configuration—it draws minimal power itself and passes PoE directly to connected devices. Ensure all cable terminations use standard RJ45 connectors and are properly crimped to avoid intermittent connectivity.
