Camden CM-TX-9 Wall Switch Transmitter Keypad
Overview
The Camden CM-TX-9 is a battery-powered wireless transmitter designed to mount behind a standard wall-mounted switch. It converts a momentary dry-contact switch closure into an RF signal for access control receivers (CM-RX-91 and CM-RX-92 models). This fits retrofit and new-build scenarios where you need credential input at a door or gate without running dedicated power or control wiring to that location — the transmitter operates on two AAA alkaline batteries and requires only the switch contact wires.
Compatibility
The CM-TX-9 pairs with Camden Lazerpoint RF receivers: the CM-RX-91 (basic single-relay receiver) and CM-RX-92 (dual-relay full-function receiver). The transmitter learns into the receiver via a pairing button on the receiver unit — within 10 seconds of pressing PB1 or PB2 on the receiver, activate the wall switch to establish the RF link. Once learned, the transmitter sends RF signals whenever the switch closes.
Installation Notes
Mount the circuit board and battery holder inside a wall box, post, or other suitable enclosure using the supplied double-sided tape. Connect the transmitter output leads to a normally open momentary dry-contact switch (standard pushbutton or access switch). Insert two fresh AAA alkaline batteries, observing proper polarity. Verify transmission by pressing the switch and observing the red LED. Test battery capacity by pressing and holding the switch for 5 seconds — a full 5 beeps from the piezo sounder indicates fresh batteries; 1–3 beeps signals replacement needed. Test the stuck-switch indicator by holding the switch for 15 seconds — a distinctive hi-low warble confirms the feature is active.
