Overview

The Camden CM-1020 is a surface mount key switch with SPDT (single pole, double throw) contacts configured as both normally open and normally closed. It operates at 30VDC and mounts flush to standard electrical boxes or wall surfaces. The CM-1020 accepts standard 1", 1 1/8", or 1 1/4" mortise cylinders, making it suitable for retrofit and new construction in access control circuits, door strike control, and security-related switching applications where momentary contact activation is required.

Compatibility

The CM-1020 integrates with access control systems and door strike mechanisms requiring 30VDC momentary switching. Its dual-contact design (N/O and N/C) supports flexible wiring for relay logic, bypass circuits, and timed activation functions. Works with standard lock cylinders and fits into common access control integration scenarios involving HID readers, magnetic locks, electric strikes, and overhead door controllers.

Installation Notes

Heavy-duty 1/4" thick aluminum construction mounts directly to walls, pipes, or pedestals using surface mount hardware. The die-cast design includes locators that prevent cylinder rotation—no set screws required. Heat-shrink protective sleeves cover internal contacts. Color-coded 18 AWG soldered leads with heat-shrink protection simplify field wiring. Tamper-proof fasteners and driver included. Brushed aluminum finish resists corrosion in indoor or outdoor applications; weather-resistant rubber gasket seals the junction box.
