The Camden CM-5070 is a push/turn to release electronic strike mechanism rated 6 amps @ 30VDC. This normally closed (N/C) maintained device provides manual release override via a 2 3/8" diameter red pushbutton mounted in a brushed aluminum plate. The CM-5070 solves the integration problem where you need both electrical control (from an access control system) and a manual mechanical release for emergency or daily operational use. Deploy this where your access control system commands the strike, but operators or occupants must have a backup push/turn method to release the door independent of network state.
The CM-5070 operates on 30VDC power supplied by most commercial access control panels and integrated lock controllers. It integrates into standard strike pocket installations for single-door or multi-door deployments. The modular contact block design allows stacking of switches to control multiple functions simultaneously — useful if you need the same pushbutton to trigger auxiliary devices (alarm bypass, door-position sensor reset, etc.). Verify your access control panel supplies 30VDC at adequate amperage (6A minimum for the strike itself, plus any stacked functions). Compatible with electro-magnetic lock systems, overhead door operators, and automated entrance controllers that accept maintained N/C relay contacts.
The CM-5070 uses a bayonet interlocking modular assembly — no set screws required. The pushbutton is free-spinning for vandalism resistance. Surface, flush, or mullion (narrow stile) mounting is supported. Wire the N/C contact block to your access control strike output; when the system energizes the coil, the strike releases. The pushbutton provides mechanical release independent of electrical state. Rated for indoor or outdoor high-traffic environments (e.g., store fronts, building exits). Confirm your 30VDC supply can sustain 6A continuously during the hold period — undersized supplies will cause dropout or slow release.
