The CM-4040 is a 30VDC push/pull electronic strike rated for standard access control door installations. It operates in maintained mode with normally closed (N/C) contact logic — energize the strike to release the door, de-energize to lock. The red finish provides clear visual identification on the door frame. This switch is built for high-frequency use in commercial and institutional settings where reliable strike actuation and simple wiring are required.
The CM-4040 integrates with any access control system or panel that outputs 30VDC strike control signals. It works with standard electric strike controllers, proximity readers, keypads, and request-to-exit (REX) devices wired for 30VDC maintained solenoid logic. The 4-1/2" round faceplate mounts to standard 2x4 electrical boxes (surface or flush mount). Verify your control panel's strike output voltage and contact rating (15A @ 30VDC) before installation.
Mount the CM-4040 to a standard electrical box using the included hardware. The switch draws power directly from your 30VDC strike control line — no separate power supply required. Verify door frame clearance and alignment before securing the faceplate. The N/C contact means the solenoid must be energized continuously to hold the door unlocked; loss of power returns the strike to locked state. Test the control panel's 30VDC output voltage with a multimeter before wiring to ensure proper strike release.
