Overview

The Camden CX-MA1211 is a mounting kit engineered for electromagnetic lock installations on 1/2" tempered glass doors. It provides mechanical interface hardware to attach Camden magnetic locks to glass substrates where standard surface-mount brackets won't work. The kit delivers the 1,200 lb. holding force rating of the base lock directly to the glass — critical for high-traffic commercial and institutional entryways where vandal resistance and reliability are non-negotiable.

Compatibility

This kit is designed for the Camden CX-91 series magnetic locks (CX-91S-06, CX-91S-12, and CX-91M-06 models). It accommodates 1/2" thick tempered glass doors exclusively — do not use on thinner or annealed glass without structural assessment. The CX-MA1211 works with all Camden access control and egress systems that support the CX-91 lock family, including field-selectable 12/24 VDC operation. Compatible with systems requiring door status monitoring through relay and sensor integration.

Installation Notes

Installation requires precise glass-edge preparation and through-bolt anchoring to prevent stress fractures. The kit includes a metal mounting template for accurate hole placement — use it to mark mounting points before drilling tempered glass. Ensure glass thickness is verified at 1/2" (±1/16") before commencing drilling. All bolts must be torqued uniformly to prevent uneven load distribution across the glass. This is a surface-mounted system; mortise routing into the glass edge is not supported. Power supply rated for 24VDC operation at 240–285 mA draw (standard CX-91S operation) must be provisioned separately. Do not exceed 28V AC/DC on relay contacts to prevent damage to integrated door status switch.
