Overview

The CX-CL-GLMNT is a glass-surface mounting solution engineered for the Camden CX-EPD0009 magnetic cabinet lock. This kit solves the install problem of securing electronic locks onto glass doors and transparent barriers in facilities where traditional surface mounting is not viable. Use this when your access control enclosure, equipment cabinet, or secure storage unit sits behind glass rather than drywall or metal. The kit provides all fastening components and adhesion materials needed for a permanent, high-security bond.

Compatibility

This kit is designed exclusively for the Camden CX-EPD0009 magnetic cabinet lock. It is not compatible with other Camden lock models or third-party cabinet locks. Mounting surface must be standard glass doors; the adhesion method does not work on tempered glass, frosted finishes, or coated surfaces without additional surface preparation.

Installation Notes

Installation relies on 3M Vinyl Tape 471 adhesive (included) with optional silane solution primer for enhanced bond strength. Glass surfaces must be clean and dry before mounting. The manufacturer provides a safety glass wipe for surface preparation; silane primer application is recommended for maximum durability. Apply primer with a lint-free cloth, allow 1–2 minutes drying time under normal room temperature, then apply the adhesive tape. The kit uses two 6–32 nylon insert lock nuts (included) to secure the stud plate to the lock mechanism. No external power or wiring is required for the mount itself; verify power requirements with the CX-EPD0009 lock documentation separately.
