Camden CX-ED1309 Electric Strike Body
Overview
The CX-ED1309 is a Grade 1 ANSI/BHMA A156.31 electric strike body engineered for narrow stile aluminum door frames in retail and commercial storefronts. This is a body-only order — you select and order the faceplate separately based on your door frame type (aluminum, hollow metal, or wood) and finish preference (brushed aluminum or dark bronze). The strike accepts cylindrical or spring latch locksets and handles latch projections from 1/2" to 5/8", making it flexible across standard door hardware configurations.
Compatibility
The CX-ED1309 body pairs with separate ANSI square, ANSI round, hollow metal, or wood door faceplates (all sourced separately). It is designed for cylindrical lockset or mortise lock installations in hollow metal, wood, or aluminum frames. The strike itself is voltage-agnostic — you field-select 12V or 24V, AC or DC at installation — so it works with most access control power supplies and relay configurations. Verify your faceplate choice matches your specific door frame material and width before ordering the body.
Installation Notes
The strike includes easy-fit connectors and mounting tabs for quick integration. Latch projection range of 1/2" to 5/8" accommodates standard cylindrical locksets without modification. Fail safe or fail secure operation is field-selectable, allowing you to choose whether the strike defaults to locked (fail secure) or unlocked (fail safe) in a power loss event. UL 1034 and UL 294 certified for fire-rated and non-fire-rated applications.
