Camden CM-42-IG In-Ground Mounting Base with Rebar
Overview
The CM-42-IG is an in-ground mounting base engineered for permanent installation of access control readers where surface mounting is impractical or undesirable. The integrated rebar reinforcement resists corrosion and anchors the mounting post solidly in concrete, eliminating wobble and weather-related movement — a real concern in outdoor perimeter deployments or high-traffic facility entry points. This accessory pairs with Camden keypad reader systems supporting up to 5-door installations.
Compatibility
Designed for use with the Camden CM-42 and CM-48 series mounting posts (36” and 42” switch heights). The base accommodates keypad reader installations in multi-door access control systems. Compatible with hard-wired door activation devices and systems utilizing Camden Lazerpoint RF wireless switches operating at 915MHz. The in-ground installation method suits perimeter security, facility entry control, and deployments where minimal surface footprint is required.
Installation Notes
The CM-42-IG base requires concrete excavation and pour preparation. Posts are supplied with stainless steel mounting hardware and flame/impact-resistant ABS post cap. Proper concrete curing is mandatory before installing the reader or switch component. The rebar-welded design ensures structural integrity in freeze-thaw cycles and loaded-access scenarios common to commercial entry points. Allen key wrench required for cap removal during installation and service.
