Camden CV-603EA 433 MHz Extension Antenna for MProx-BLE
Overview
The CV-603EA is an 8-foot external antenna for the MProx-BLE Controller's built-in 433 MHz receiver. Deploy this when the controller location is obstructed by walls, floors, rebar-reinforced concrete, or mounted inside a metal enclosure—situations that degrade wireless signal to nearby credential readers. The antenna connects via coaxial cable and can be positioned up to 8 feet 2 inches away from the receiver, allowing you to mount it outside a building or above obstructions to achieve direct line-of-sight to reader devices. This is a practical solution for access control deployments where receiver placement conflicts with building structure.
Compatibility
The CV-603EA integrates exclusively with the Camden MProx-BLE Controller antenna terminals. The cable terminates at the controller's dedicated ANT and GND terminals on the antenna section. Verify your MProx-BLE unit has exposed antenna connection points before ordering—some installations already use internal antennas and do not require external expansion.
Installation Notes
Cable preparation is critical: strip the coax end to expose the solid center core conductor and braided shield. Wire the center conductor to the ANT terminal and the braided shield to the GND terminal on the CV-603 antenna section. Do not crease or kink the cable—creases introduce reflections and harmonics that degrade signal quality and reader range. Use the included concrete anchors (#8 × 1″ Phillips pan-head screws) or wood anchors (#10 × 1″ Phillips pan-head screws) to mount the antenna at a height and angle that provides the clearest unobstructed RF path to your credential readers. Test reader activation at multiple distances after installation to confirm adequate signal strength.
