Description

Middle Atlantic FEB1 1U Flat Steel Blank Rack Filler Panel

Overview

The Middle Atlantic FEB1 is a 1 RU flat steel blank panel designed to close open rack slots in standard 19-inch equipment racks. Leaving rack space open disrupts front-to-back airflow, which accelerates thermal stress on active equipment above and below the gap — the FEB1 eliminates that gap cleanly. The flat black powder coat finish blends with most rack enclosures, and at 0.08 inches deep, it sits nearly flush with the rail face without interfering with adjacent cabling or cable managers. This is the correct pick for rack accessories applications where a single open unit needs to be covered — for multi-unit gaps, stack multiple FEB1 panels or source a wider blank in the Middle Atlantic rack panel lineup.

Compatibility

Fits any EIA-standard 19-inch rack with standard 10-32 or 12-24 threaded rails, including Middle Atlantic ERK, RACK, and BGR series enclosures, as well as third-party open-frame and enclosed racks that follow the 19-inch EIA-310 mounting standard. The two-point mounting pattern (one hole each side) is sufficient for a passive panel with no cable or equipment load. Not intended for racks with non-standard rail spacing or tool-less snap-in rail systems that require proprietary panel clips.

Installation Notes

Mounts with two fasteners — one at each rail. Steel construction means it holds its shape under incidental contact without flexing or racking in the opening. At 1.75 inches tall and 19 inches wide, it fills exactly one rack unit per EIA-310 specification. No additional hardware beyond standard rack screws is required.
