Overview

The Axis 02014-001 is a durable weathershield accessory designed to extend operational life of compact Axis network cameras in exposed outdoor and semi-outdoor installations. It mounts directly to the camera unit and shields the lens and sensor from rain, snow, direct sunlight, and wind-driven moisture — conditions that degrade image quality and can cause sensor fogging or corrosion of internal optics over time. The black anti-glare coating on the bottom surface prevents reflections from the camera's IR LEDs, which otherwise scatter light back into the lens and wash out footage in low-light environments. Deploy this where your camera sits under an eave or overhang but still faces unpredictable weather, or in high-humidity coastal or industrial zones.

Compatibility

The 02014-001 is engineered for the Axis M2014-E compact bullet camera and related fixed-mount models in that product family. Verify compatibility with your specific Axis camera model before ordering — the weathershield is not a universal fit. It mounts via the camera's standard connector interface without requiring tools or power modifications.

Installation Notes

Mount the weathershield directly to the camera unit before final installation to ensure proper alignment and seal.
