Overview
The Axis 02588-001 is an outdoor weathershield housing designed to extend M20 series camera deployments into harsh weather environments. IP66 rating means water jets and dust won't penetrate—critical when mounting cameras on building façades, loading docks, or covered areas where rain and spray reach the lens and dome. The kit accepts wall, ceiling, pole, and corner mounting configurations, so you can position it wherever your sight lines require without redesigning the bracket.
Compatibility
This weathershield is engineered specifically for Axis M20 series cameras. Confirm your exact M20 model against the Axis product compatibility matrix before ordering—M20 variants differ in dome size and connector pinout. The housing terminates with a 22-pin connector that mates directly to the camera's pigtail; no intermediate adapters are needed.
Installation Notes
Thread the supplied 22-pin connection cable through the top of the housing and mounts before final assembly. Network cable (RJ-45) also routes through the top to the camera's network port. A 24V AC, 3A outdoor power supply is required but not included—do not substitute the indoor supply. Connect power and alarm lines to a terminal strip (not included) rated for outdoor environments. Unused wires should be connected to prevent short circuits. Consult the installation PDF for pinout details and cable routing constraints specific to your mount type.
