Axis 01457-001 Dual Camera Mount
The Axis 01457-001 is a dual-camera mounting bracket engineered for deployments where panoramic or wide-area coverage requires two fixed or dome cameras in a back-to-back configuration. Rather than installing separate mounts at different locations, this accessory lets you mount two Axis IP cameras on a single structural point — reducing penetrations, simplifying wiring, and cutting installation labor on walls, poles, or ceilings.
Key Features
- Back-to-back dual-camera layout: Positions two cameras facing opposite directions, eliminating blind spots along a corridor, perimeter, or wide facade without needing two separate mounting locations.
- 1.5" NPS threaded interface: Standardized connection point compatible with Axis mounting accessories and arm adapters — meaning you can pivot this bracket onto existing pole-mount infrastructure without custom fabrication.
- IK10 impact resistance: Withstands deliberate physical attack (20J energy blows) — relevant in retail, parking, or public-access environments where tampering or vandalism is a security concern. This rating ensures the bracket itself won't become a weak link if a camera is targeted.
- Indoor and outdoor rated: No environmental exclusions in the design — deploy in loading docks, exterior building corners, or transit stations without housing concerns. Check your camera's IP rating separately to confirm weatherproofing for your specific environment.
- Compatible with Axis dome, box, and bullet cameras: The mount accepts the full Axis camera portfolio, giving you flexibility to spec different lenses, sensor sizes, or form factors on each arm without redesigning the bracket.
Integration & Compatibility
The T94V01C (01457-001) is a passive mounting bracket — it carries no power, electronics, or intelligence. Compatibility is purely mechanical: if a camera has a standard Axis mounting foot, it attaches here. Power, PoE, and network connectivity flow directly from each camera's cable to your network video recorder or switch. No configuration required on the mount itself.
Because the bracket threads into standard 1.5" NPS adapters, it integrates with existing pole mounts, ceiling hangers, or wall arms — useful if you're retrofitting a site with existing infrastructure.
Deployment Considerations
The back-to-back orientation is purpose-built for linear coverage (hallways, warehouse aisles, fence lines) or opposite-facing perimeter shots. If you need overlapping coverage or three-dimensional field-of-view, this is not the right choice — consider individual mounts instead. Weight distribution is symmetric, so structural load on your pole or wall is roughly twice the camera weight; verify your mounting surface can handle it.
Each camera requires its own network cable, PoE source, and storage allocation — the mount is not a consolidation tool for cabling or power. Plan your cabling and storage accordingly.
