• PoE+ (802.3at) draw is within spec, but verify your switch has sufficient power budget. A 16-port 802.3at switch can power 8–10 P1488-LE cameras; add any heater or blower, and you'll exceed headroom. Budget for a second switch or PoE+ injector on larger deployments.
• ONVIF Profile G support is less common in legacy VMS platforms (Milestone Husky, old Genetec 5.x builds). Confirm your target NVR supports Profile G before committing to ARTPEC-9 edge analytics. Fallback is ONVIF Profile S (standard video streaming), which works everywhere but loses advanced metadata.
• Varifocal lens focus hunting can occur in extreme zoom transitions or poor lighting. We typically set focus mode to manual or single-autofocus after installation rather than continuous autofocus, which can introduce micro-adjustments on windy days.
• White housing (standard color) shows dirt and spider webs more than gray or black; plan quarterly lens cleaning on dusty or rural sites.
