The kit supports PoE-powered cameras (802.3af), so you avoid running separate power lines — a real time and cost save on retrofit jobs where wall runs are already tight.
Compatibility
The PMAX-1003 works with ACTi D6x, D7x, D8x, E61–E67, E7x (except E78), and E81–E88 series cameras. Verify your exact camera model against this list before ordering — flush mount kits are form-factor specific and won't adapt to different dome sizes or mounting flanges. If you're integrating across multiple camera families, confirm each model's compatibility.
Installation Notes
In-wall flush mounting requires a wall cavity or recessed installation box; the camera body sits flush or nearly flush against the drywall or backing surface. Ensure the wall cavity depth and width accommodate the camera's barrel diameter and lens protrusion — measure before cutting. PoE power delivery via standard 802.3af eliminates the need for dedicated 24VAC or 12VDC runs, reducing labor. For installations in fire-rated or insulated wall sections, verify local fire code compliance (some jurisdictions restrict equipment mounting inside rated walls). Test PoE availability from your switch before final wall closure.
