It consolidates PoE+ power delivery and mounting infrastructure, eliminating the need for separate power supplies or intermediate distribution hardware in wall, ceiling, and rack-based surveillance deployments. Use this when your Z83 or Z84 installation requires a single PoE+ feed to support multiple cameras or when mounting constraints demand a centralized junction point — typical in retrofit installations where cable routing or power budgets are tight.
Compatibility
The PMAX-0723 is purpose-built for ACTi Z83 and Z84 series cameras. It accepts PoE+ (802.3at) input, delivering power and video over a single network cable. Verify your existing switch or injector supplies 802.3at or higher — this ensures sufficient power headroom for the connected cameras. The multi-mount design supports wall, ceiling, and rack configurations, so confirm your mounting surface and orientation before installation.
Installation Notes
Mount the junction box at a point where Z83 or Z84 cameras can reach via short cable runs — this minimizes voltage drop and keeps wiring clean. Secure the box to wall studs, ceiling joists, or rack rails using the appropriate fasteners for your surface material. Connect a single PoE+ network cable from your switch or injector to the junction box input, then run individual network cables from the box to each Z83/Z84 camera. Do not exceed the PoE+ power budget of your source device — sum the wattage of all connected cameras and verify your switch or injector can deliver that load.
