Description

Panduit LD3EI8-A Pan-Way Single Channel Surface Raceway

The Panduit LD3EI8-A Pan-Way surface raceway delivers clean low-voltage cable routing for commercial security, AV, and data installations where conduit isn't an option. This 8-foot single-channel section mounts in minutes via factory-applied adhesive backing - no drilling required on finished walls, retail spaces, or historic buildings. The 0.77" × 0.46" (20mm × 12mm) profile routes Cat6, fiber drops, or 18-2 access control runs while meeting TIA/EIA standards for structured cabling systems. One-piece hinged design lets you lay cables in without fishing, and the electric ivory finish blends into standard commercial interiors. UL94V-0 flame rating and FT4 compliance clear code requirements for plenum-adjacent spaces.

Key Features

  • Factory adhesive backing - mount on drywall, wood, or painted metal without anchors
  • One-piece hinged cover - snap open to add cables, no separate channel and cover inventory
  • 0.77" × 0.46" cross-section routes up to three Cat6 cables or two fiber drops plus 18-2 wire
  • Electric Ivory PVC finish matches standard office wall plates and trim
  • UL94V-0 and FT4 flame ratings satisfy building codes for low-voltage surface routing
  • TIA/EIA compliant for commercial structured cabling deployments
  • 8-foot sections join with Panduit couplings for continuous runs up to 100 feet
  • Terminates into Pan-Way surface mount boxes or standard Mini-Com modules

The LD3 series uses rigid PVC construction with a living hinge - the cover stays captive so you're not juggling loose parts on a ladder. Internal cable capacity handles mixed-media runs: two shielded Cat6A cables plus an LC duplex fiber drop, or three standard Cat6 cables with room for labeled service loops at outlets. The 50V rating covers PoE++, access control panels, and analog video - but this is TIA/EIA compliant raceway, not power-rated Wiremold, so don't mix line voltage. The factory adhesive is repositionable for about 60 seconds during alignment, then cures to 15 lb/ft pull strength on primed drywall. For block or unpainted concrete, supplement with #6 pan-head screws every 24 inches through the knockouts molded into the base channel. The electric ivory color (Panduit EI) matches Leviton Ivory and most beige telecom hardware - closer to warm off-white than pure white.

Surface raceway shines when you're retrofitting access control to an occupied building and can't close down hallways for conduit work. Run LD3 along baseboards from a control panel to mag locks, or drop vertically behind a reception desk to hide card readers and IP intercoms. Retail and hospitality projects use it to add POS data drops or camera home runs without tearing into finished ceilings. The 8-foot sections cut cleanly with a hacksaw or PVC shears - measure twice, cut once, and you'll minimize coupling joints that collect dust. Pair with Panduit's LD3 surface mount boxes (sold separately) at endpoints, or transition into walls using their backed-out box adapters that mate to standard low-voltage rings. For outdoor-to-indoor transitions, the raceway itself isn't UV-rated, so terminate it within 6 inches of a building penetration sleeve and use weatherproof boots on the exterior side.

The LD3EI8-A gives you TIA/EIA-compliant cable management that installs as fast as peel-and-stick, with the rigidity to protect cables from impact in high-traffic areas. The one-piece hinged design eliminates the "where did I put that cover piece" problem on job sites, and the 0.77-inch width fits into tight spaces where 1.25-inch raceway looks clunky. UL94V-0 flame performance and FT4 listing mean you can route this in the same rooms as plenum cabling without inspector pushback, and the electric ivory finish keeps it subtle against commercial wall plates and trim work.
