Overview

The Panduit UTP28X7RD is a 7-foot, 28 AWG UTP Category 6A patch cord designed for high-speed data transmission and simplified cable management in demanding environments. Its compact diameter and solid conductor construction make it ideal for high-density deployments, such as data center I/O consolidation, server virtualization, and backbone aggregation, especially where supporting IEEE 802.3bt PoE++ power delivery is required. The integrated tangle-free latch ensures secure connection and easy release, streamlining moves, adds, and changes in critical infrastructure.

Compatibility

This patch cord is engineered to exceed ANSI/TIA-568.2-D Category 6A and ISO 11801 Class EA standards up to 500 MHz, ensuring compatibility with 10GBASE-T Ethernet networks. It supports IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at, and 802.3bt types 3 and 4 Power over Ethernet applications, making it suitable for powering high-demand devices like Wi-Fi 6 access points and pan-tilt-zoom cameras. It is wired for compatibility with both T568A and T568B termination schemes.

The patented tangle-free latch design prevents snags during installation and removal, protecting the connector and simplifying maintenance. Pre-installed RapidID barcodes on the cable enable quick port mapping with compatible RapidID software for efficient network documentation and troubleshooting.
