ATEN KX9970T KVM Over IP Transmitter
Overview
The ATEN KX9970T is a 10Gbps KVM over IP transmitter designed for high-resolution, low-latency remote control. It enables you to extend a DisplayPort 1.2 KVM console (keyboard, mouse, and video) over a network infrastructure using either fiber or copper connections. This transmitter is ideal for scenarios requiring immediate visual feedback and precise control, such as remote data center management, broadcast control rooms, or industrial automation where direct console access is impractical. The KX9970T supports advanced video resolutions up to 5120 x 2880 @ 30Hz, ensuring clarity for detailed interfaces.
Compatibility
This transmitter is designed to pair with its corresponding receiver unit (sold separately) to form a complete KVM over IP solution. It is compatible with standard 10 Gigabit Ethernet networks, supporting both SFP+ fiber modules and RJ45 copper connections for flexible network integration. The unit accepts USB keyboard and mouse input and PS/2 keyboard input. The video input is DisplayPort 1.2.
Installation Notes
The ATEN KX9970T supports recessed and rack-mount installations. Environmental operating conditions require 0–95% RH (non-condensing) humidity. Firmware upgrades are managed via a dedicated release, with v2.2.213 being the latest as of April 2026.
