ACTi A313 4MP Mini Bullet IP Camera
Overview
The A313 is a compact 4MP fixed bullet camera designed for outdoor perimeter, entry-point, and general area coverage in harsh environments. The 2.8mm board-mount lens delivers a 99° horizontal field of view—wide enough for entry doors and loading dock monitoring without requiring pan-tilt capability. Build quality centers on IP68 weatherproofing (full water immersion rated) and IK10 impact resistance (withstands vandal strikes and blunt force), making it suitable for exposed mounting on poles, walls, or fence lines. The extreme wide dynamic range (150dB WDR) handles mixed lighting scenarios—sun-facing facades paired with shadowed recesses—without the halo artifacts that plague standard HDR processing. Three 850nm infrared LEDs provide 65m working distance, enabling reliable capture in near-total darkness at 0.003 lux minimum illumination. This combination of durability, low-light capability, and image clarity addresses the most common outdoor surveillance pain point: maintaining usable evidence-grade footage 24/7 without constant maintenance or lens cleaning.
Compatibility
The A313 integrates into any IP-based surveillance network via its single 10/100 Base-T Ethernet port (RJ-45 pigtail connector). Full ONVIF compliance (Profile S, G, T, M) ensures compatibility with major VMS platforms—Milestone Husky, Axis Camera Station, Genetec, and others. On-board deep learning analytics (face detection, people counting) and video motion detection trigger events directly at the camera, reducing false alerts and centralizing processing load. Manual GPS position tagging supports multi-site deployments and geolocation logging. Power flexibility—PoE++ (802.3bt) Class 3 or DC 12V—means the A313 fits mixed infrastructure: deploy on PoE-powered switches in new builds, or pair with DC supplies in remote or legacy installations. Quad simultaneous streams (H.265, H.264, MJPEG) allow bandwidth-constrained endpoints to pull lower-resolution streams while NVRs record full 4MP.
Installation Notes
Operating range -40°C to 60°C ensures consistent performance across seasonal extremes; confirm your climate zone falls within this window. The pole-mount design requires a standard camera pole bracket (sold separately). Board-mount lens is fixed—no refocusing adjustment post-installation. RJ-45 pigtail termination should be sealed with M12 or equivalent weatherproof connectors in IP68 deployments; exposed RJ-45 is vulnerable to water ingress. Confirm your PoE switch supports 802.3bt Class 3 if using PoE power; legacy 802.3af switches cannot deliver sufficient current.
