Overview
The ACTi Z36 is a 4MP mini bullet camera purpose-built for discreet surveillance in retail floors, hospitality corridors, and entry-point monitoring where compact form factor and durability matter. Native 4MP resolution paired with WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) handles mixed lighting—bright storefronts with dark interior shadows—without loss of detail in either. The IP67 rating and IK10 metal casing protect against dust, water splash, and vandal contact, making it suitable for semi-outdoor washdown areas or public-facing installations where impact risk is high. IR (infrared) night vision extends operation into complete darkness for after-hours monitoring or low-light perimeter zones.
Compatibility
The Z36 integrates with any ONVIF-compliant video management system (VMS), network video recorder (NVR), or enterprise surveillance platform. PoE power (802.3af standard) draws under 13W, so it operates on any modern managed or unmanaged PoE switch without strain on power budget. H.265 and H.264 codec support ensures compatibility across legacy H.264-only systems while allowing bandwidth savings on modern infrastructure that supports H.265. Built-in microphone enables two-way audio or event-triggered sound recording without external audio modules.
Installation Notes
The mini bullet form factor fits tight mounting spaces—doorways, shelving, or corridor ledges—where full-size domes create sight-line clutter.
