Overview

The Panduit UTP28CH4BU is a 4-foot (1.22m) Cat5e Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) patch cord in blue. Its 28 AWG stranded conductor construction and compact 0.150-inch (3.8mm) diameter simplify installation in high-density racks and cabinets. The integrated tangle-free latch prevents snagging during moves, adds, and changes, while pre-installed RapidID barcodes streamline port mapping with compatible software.

Compatibility

This patch cord supports Ethernet speeds up to 1000BASE-T (Gigabit Ethernet), 155 Mb/s and 622 Mb/s ATM, Token ring, voice/data systems, and VoIP. It is wired to be compatible with both T568A and T568B wiring schemes and meets ANSI/TIA-568.2-D Category 5e standards. It also supports IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at, and 802.3bt (Type 3 and Type 4) Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications, drawing power up to PoE++ levels.

Installation Notes

Constructed with CM/LSZH rated cable, this patch cord is suitable for use in pathways where low-smoke and flame-retardant properties are required. The patented tangle-free latch on the Pan-Plug™ modular connectors ensures a secure connection and simplifies disconnection.
