Overview

The Signamax 48458FTHD1-C6 is a 48-port Category 6 feed-thru patch panel designed for high-density network installations. It provides a clean and organized termination point for structured cabling, ideal for environments requiring numerous network connections within a limited rack space, such as data centers, enterprise networks, or AV distribution systems. This panel facilitates direct patching between equipment and horizontal cabling without requiring punch-down termination on the panel itself, simplifying installation and future moves, adds, or changes.

Compatibility

This panel is designed for use with standard Category 6 (Cat6) unshielded twisted pair (UTP) network cables and connectors. It is compatible with 23-26 AWG solid or stranded conductors. The feed-thru design allows direct connection to standard RJ45 keystone jacks or patch cords on both the front and rear, enabling seamless integration into existing or new structured cabling systems. It fits standard 19-inch rack-mount equipment and occupies 1 RMU (Rack Mount Unit) of vertical space.

Installation Notes

The feed-thru design simplifies installation by eliminating the need for punch-down tools on the panel side. Simply plug a patch cord into the front and another into the rear to establish a connection. Ensure proper cable management is employed to maintain bend radius and avoid signal degradation. The panel is designed for standard rack mounting; secure it using appropriate rack screws (not included).
