Overview

The Signamax 48458FTHD1-C5E is a 48-port Category 5e feed-thru patch panel designed for high-density network installations. This unscreened panel mounts in a standard 19-inch rack, occupying 1U of vertical space, and simplifies network cable management by providing direct feed-thru connections. It's ideal for structured cabling systems where clean termination and easy access to network ports are critical, such as in data centers, server rooms, or enterprise network closets supporting surveillance systems.

Compatibility

This panel is designed for Category 5e (Cat5e) network cabling. It is compatible with standard RJ45 connectors and any network device or patch panel that utilizes Cat5e specifications. It functions as a passive interconnect, so it is compatible with all network speeds and protocols supported by Cat5e, including 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet, and is suitable for IP camera networks, VoIP systems, and general data networking.

Installation Notes

The panel requires a standard 19-inch rack for mounting. Ensure sufficient clearance for cable bend radius behind the panel. Each port is a feed-thru design, meaning you connect a cable from your network switch or device directly to the rear of the panel, and then connect another cable from the front to your endpoint device or downstream patch panel. No punch-down tools are required for the feed-thru ports themselves, simplifying installation.
