The BPFD-45 is a replacement or add-on plexi front door sized for 45U Middle Atlantic BGR series racks. At 81.72 in tall and 25.4 in wide, it provides full-height front access protection while keeping equipment visible — useful in NOC, IDF, or security head-end environments where operators need a quick visual status check without opening the enclosure. The 1.41 in depth profile keeps the door's footprint tight against the rack face, and the textured black powder coat finish matches standard BGR cabinetry. Integrated handles are included, so no separate hardware is required for door operation.

Compatibility

The BPFD-45 is designed exclusively for the rack enclosure BGR series from Middle Atlantic — specifically 45U configurations. It is not a universal fit; confirm your existing cabinet is a 45U BGR model before ordering. This door is not compatible with other Middle Atlantic series (e.g., ERK, WMRK, or PTRK) or third-party racks. If your installation uses a different rack unit count — 25U, 36U, or 42U BGR variants — a matching BPFD door in the correct RU size is required instead.

Installation Notes

At a shipping weight of 62 lbs, plan for two-person handling during installation — the full 81.72 in height makes single-person mounting awkward and risks damage to the plexi panel. The door mounts to the existing BGR hinge points; no drilling or modification to the rack frame is required. Verify hinge alignment on the target BGR cabinet before mounting, as field-modified or damaged hinge points will affect door seating. The powder coat finish can be scratched by abrasive contact during handling — protect the panel face during transit from storage to the rack.
