Overview

The Panduit UTP28SP3M is a 3-meter (9.8 ft) Cat 6 UTP patch cord designed for high-density network environments. Its compact 28 AWG construction simplifies cable management, making it suitable for installations requiring efficient routing and reduced bundle diameter. The integrated tangle-free latch ensures secure connections and facilitates quick disconnections for moves, adds, and changes, streamlining network maintenance. This cord is 100% performance tested for wire map, NEXT, and return loss, ensuring reliable data transmission.

Compatibility

This patch cord is engineered to exceed ANSI/TIA-568.2-D Category 6 and ISO 11801 Class E standards up to 250 MHz. It supports Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T) and Fast Ethernet (100BASE-T) applications, along with high-speed ATM up to 1.2 Gb/s. It is also compatible with digital video transmission and VoIP systems. The UTP28SP3M cable construction is suitable for IEEE 802.3af/802.3at PoE applications (up to 48 cables in a bundle) and IEEE 802.3bt types 3 and 4 PoE applications (up to 24 cables in a bundle), enabling power delivery over the data cable.

Installation Notes

The cable features a CM/LSZH (Communications Multipurpose/Low Smoke Zero Halogen) flammability rating, suitable for use in riser applications or where plenum-rated cable is not required. The stranded 28 AWG copper conductors provide flexibility. The centered de-embedded plug design and integral pair manager contribute to performance and ease of installation. RapidID technology includes pre-installed barcodes for simplified port mapping with compatible software.
