Overview

The Middle Atlantic OCAP-3 is a 3U open clamping rack shelf designed for mounting network devices, cable boxes, or other AV equipment within standard 19-inch racks. Its open design facilitates airflow and easy access, making it suitable for environments where ventilation is critical, such as server rooms or media closets. The OCAP-3 model specifically accommodates one cable box and provides two mounting points for securing equipment.

Compatibility

This rack shelf is designed for use in standard 19-inch rack enclosures. Its 3U height (5.25 inches) makes it compatible with any rack that has at least 3U of available vertical space. The 14-inch depth is suitable for a wide range of network switches, small form factor PCs, and other shallow-depth rackmount equipment.

Installation Notes

The shelf features two mounting points to secure equipment, preventing it from sliding. The open clamping design allows for flexible placement of devices. Its 19-inch width ensures it fits standard rack rails. The shelf itself is secured to the rack via standard rack screws (not included). The usable height of 4.38 inches provides clearance for devices with moderate height profiles.
