Description

Middle Atlantic PHBL-3 3U Flat Blank Aluminum Rack Panel

Overview

The Middle Atlantic PHBL-3 is a 3U flat blank panel designed to cover unused rack space in 19-inch enclosures. At 11-gauge aluminum construction with a black powder coat finish, it provides the structural integrity needed for professional rack builds — not the thin sheet stock found in budget alternatives. Measuring 5.25 inches tall and just 0.08 inches deep, the PHBL-3 sits flush with adjacent rack-mounted gear, keeping airflow management intentional and preventing hands or cables from reaching into open bays. Use it wherever you have empty rack units that need to be covered: NVR racks, AV equipment enclosures, server cabinets, or security control room buildouts where a finished, professional appearance matters as much as cable management discipline.

Compatibility

The PHBL-3 fits any standard EIA 19-inch rack or enclosure accepting 3U panels. It is part of Middle Atlantic's PHBL series of flat blank panels, which span 1U through multi-space configurations — making it straightforward to fill odd combinations of empty rack space using panels from the same series and finish family. Compatible with Middle Atlantic's equipment racks, credenzas, and rack enclosures, as well as any third-party 19-inch rack conforming to standard EIA hole spacing. Verify your rack's usable bay count before ordering — the PHBL-3 occupies exactly 3U (5.25 inches of vertical space).

Installation Notes

The panel weighs 1.24 lbs and installs using standard rack screws (not included) through the pre-punched mounting ears. No tools beyond a screwdriver are required. At 0.08 inches depth, it does not intrude into rack depth — leaving full cable routing space behind the panel face. Black powder coat finish matches Middle Atlantic's standard rack hardware for a consistent front-panel appearance across mixed equipment builds.
