Description

Comnet PS-AMR1-24 24VDC DIN Rail Power Supply

Overview

The PS-AMR1-24 is a compact 10-watt 24VDC DIN rail-mounted power supply built for surveillance installations in temperature-extreme environments. It accepts 90–264VAC input and delivers 0.42A at 24VDC with 89% efficiency — meaning minimal wasted heat in confined cabinet spaces. Cold-start capability down to −40°C is critical for outdoor or unheated enclosures; standard supplies often fail to energize below −20°C, leaving your remote site dead in winter. This unit is purpose-built to avoid that failure mode.

Compatibility

The PS-AMR1-24 powers 24VDC surveillance accessories across the Comnet ecosystem — including compact IP transmitters, remote PoE injectors, and field-mounted signal converters that draw under 10 watts. It also serves general industrial 24VDC loads rated for DIN rail mounting: solenoid locks, alarm panels, relay modules, and low-power access control readers. If your remote camera site requires a small 24VDC auxiliary supply separate from PoE, this is the right form factor. Verify your load current does not exceed 0.42A; oversized draws will trip internal protection.

Installation Notes

Mount directly to standard 35mm DIN rail using the integrated clip — no separate bracket required. The supply operates via natural convection; ensure minimum 2 inches of clearance above and below the unit for air circulation. Wide input voltage range (90–264VAC) means it works globally without a step-down transformer. CE, cUL, and UL certification covers North American and European installations. Operating temperature range −40°C to +71°C makes it suitable for unheated outdoor enclosures, vehicle-mounted cabinets, and high-temperature industrial settings. Do not install in areas prone to condensation without additional environmental protection; the unit itself is not potted for moisture resistance.
