The Middle Atlantic U2V-4 is a 2-rack-unit vented utility shelf sold in a pack of four — the practical buy for integrators populating multiple rack enclosures in a single project. Each shelf occupies 2 RU and delivers 15 inches of usable depth with a 50 lb weight capacity, making it viable for NVRs, unmanaged switches, UPS units, and other mid-weight equipment that lacks dedicated rack ears. The vented top surface promotes passive airflow in enclosed rack cabinets, reducing heat buildup on densely populated bays. At 19 inches wide with two mounting points, each U2V-4 drops into any standard EIA-310 19-inch rack without adapters.
Compatibility
Fits any standard 19-inch EIA-310 rack rail system — compatible with Middle Atlantic's full rack enclosure line including the ERK, BGR, MFDS, and SRK series, as well as third-party open-frame and enclosed rack cabinets conforming to the 19-inch EIA standard. Suitable for non-rackmount equipment up to 50 lbs per shelf: NVRs, managed PoE switches, patch panels, and power strips. Not designed for equipment heavier than 50 lbs or requiring rail-slide support — for heavier loads, evaluate a heavy-duty slide-out shelf with full rail engagement. Installation Notes
Each shelf mounts at two points — front rail only. Confirm your rack has matching tapped or untapped rail holes at the correct RU position before ordering. Usable depth is 15 inches; verify the deepest equipment you plan to seat does not exceed that clearance. Shipping weight for the four-unit pack is 26.71 lbs — plan accordingly for freight on larger project orders. TAA compliance is not applicable to this SKU.
