ATEN US3342 2-Port USB-C Sharing Switch
Overview
The ATEN US3342 is a 2-port USB-C sharing switch designed to simplify workflows by allowing two USB-C enabled computers to share a single USB-C peripheral device, such as a monitor, keyboard, or mouse. This device also supports Power Delivery pass-through, meaning it can charge the connected computers while switching, eliminating the need for separate power adapters for each machine. It's ideal for environments where multiple users share a single workstation or where a clean desk policy is enforced, reducing cable clutter and simplifying device management. The US3342 model facilitates seamless transitions between systems with its remote port selector or software control.
Compatibility
This switch is designed for USB-C equipped computers running Windows 10 or macOS X 10.12 and later. It is compatible with systems supporting USB-C for both data and power delivery (up to 100W pass-through). Note that for macOS 14 or later, touchpad control across Windows and Mac systems via the BEZEL X software may not be fully supported.
Installation Notes
The switch supports firmware upgrades via v1.0.075, ensuring potential future compatibility and feature enhancements. It operates within a humidity range of 0–80% RH, non-condensing. The device includes software utilities for Windows 10 (v1.0.008) and macOS X 10.12 (v1.0.002) to manage the port selection. The 'Selected' indicator light is white when a port is active.
