Description

ATEN VS192 2-PORT 4K Displayport Splitter With Mst/sst

Overview

The ATEN VS192 is a 2-port DisplayPort splitter designed to duplicate a single DisplayPort 1.4 input signal to two separate outputs. This device is ideal for scenarios where you need to mirror content across multiple monitors from a single source, such as digital signage, presentation setups, or command centers requiring identical visual feeds. Its rack-mountable form factor ensures a clean integration into existing server or AV racks. The VS192 supports both Multi-Stream Transport (MST) and Single-Stream Transport (SST) modes, providing flexibility for different display configurations and ensuring compatibility with a wide range of DisplayPort sources and displays.

Compatibility

This splitter is compatible with any DisplayPort 1.4 source device, including modern PCs, workstations, and some laptops. It supports resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 (4K) at a 60Hz refresh rate, provided the source device and displays also support these specifications. For optimal performance at maximum resolution and refresh rate, ATEN recommends using their 2L-7D04DP DisplayPort cables. Ensure your source device supports DisplayPort Dual-Mode (DP++) if your displays require it.

Installation Notes

The VS192 supports a maximum transmission distance of 4.6 meters for 4K resolution at 60Hz, tested with specific ATEN cables. Operating within this distance is critical for maintaining signal integrity and achieving the specified resolution. The device operates in 0-80% non-condensing humidity environments. Power is supplied via a single DC jack; a power adapter is not included and must be sourced separately. The unit is designed for rack mounting, with dimensions expressed in LxWxH format for rack integration.
