Description

NETGEAR CM3000-100NAS DOCSIS 3.1 High Split 2.5G Cable Modem

Overview

The NETGEAR CM3000-100NAS is a single-port DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem with High Split architecture and 2.5G Ethernet output. This model is built for deployments requiring higher-bandwidth aggregation — High Split topology enables ISPs to allocate more upstream spectrum (higher than standard DOCSIS 3.1), which matters if you're running hybrid access control systems, camera upload streams, or VoIP telephony alongside downstream video. The 2.5G port accepts 802.3bz (2.5GBASE-T) Ethernet, meaning faster backhaul to your gateway or aggregation switch without requiring 10G infrastructure. Sourced direct from the manufacturer or US direct manufacturer source — factory-new, no grey-market, no parallel imports.

Compatibility

The CM3000-100NAS is compatible with cable ISPs that support DOCSIS 3.1 High Split provisioning. Confirm your ISP's modem compatibility list before ordering; not all cable carriers have activated High Split in all service areas. The 2.5G Ethernet port connects directly to gateways, managed switches, or routers that support 2.5GBASE-T. If your core switch or router only supports 1G Ethernet, the modem will negotiate down to 1G but will waste the 2.5G capability — plan accordingly. Works with standard RG-6 or RG-11 coaxial cable (not included).

Installation Notes

Requires active DOCSIS 3.1 service from a compatible cable provider. Connect the coaxial input to your wall outlet or ISP line; connect the 2.5G Ethernet port to your gateway or switch. No additional power supply needed — the modem derives power from the cable line. The single Ethernet port limits this to a single connection path; if you need multi-port distribution, add a managed switch downstream. Mounting hardware not included; position on a shelf or mount to wall using standard mounting bracket (sold separately).
