Overview

The Panduit UTP28X1RD is a 1-foot Cat 6A unshielded twisted pair (UTP) patch cord, finished in red. Its compact 28 AWG solid conductor construction simplifies installation in high-density environments, such as data center I/O consolidation and server virtualization racks. The integrated tangle-free latch ensures secure connection and easy release, streamlining moves, adds, and changes without snagging. Pre-installed RapidID barcodes facilitate quick port identification and mapping with compatible software.

Compatibility

This patch cord is engineered to exceed ANSI/TIA-568.2-D Category 6A and ISO 11801 Class EA standards, supporting data rates up to 10 Gbps (10GBASE-T Ethernet) across its 500 MHz bandwidth. It is compatible with both T568A and T568B wiring schemes. The UTP28X1RD supports IEEE 802.3af/at and 802.3bt Type 3/4 Power over Ethernet (PoE++) applications, delivering up to 90W, making it suitable for powering network devices like cameras, wireless access points, and IoT sensors directly through the network cable.

Installation Notes

Constructed with a CM/LSZH (CM/Low Smoke Zero Halogen) jacket, this cable meets flammability requirements for use in riser and general-purpose applications. The 0.185-inch (4.7mm) diameter cable and centered de-embedded plug design contribute to easier routing and termination in tight spaces. It has undergone 100% performance testing for wire map, Near-End Crosstalk (NEXT), and return loss, ensuring reliable data transmission.
