The E-1600-52A is a replacement parts kit for Viking's 1600A Series emergency phones, designed to restore ADA-compliant handsfree communication capability on standard analog telephone lines or analog PBX extensions. When a 1600A Series unit sustains component-level failure — board failure, speaker degradation, or wiring harness damage — this kit provides the core internals needed to return the unit to service without replacing the full enclosure. The E-1600-52A is the correct kit for installations requiring the second-button configuration, distinguishing it from single-button variants in the 1600A family.
Compatibility
Designed specifically for the Viking Electronics 1600A Series emergency phones. The E-1600-52A variant is compatible with 1600A Series units configured for two-button operation. The E-1600-52A-EWP is a related variant for weatherproof enclosure models — confirm your installed enclosure type before ordering. Viking's 1600-IP Series uses PoE-based architecture and is NOT compatible with this analog parts kit.
Installation Notes
This kit targets analog line operation — verify the installed phone connects to a standard POTS or analog PBX port before deploying. The 1600A Series supports up to 5 programmable emergency numbers and 2 central station numbers; reprogramming those dial plans after board replacement will be required. Refer to the Viking 1600A Series product manual for wiring diagrams and board seating procedure specific to the enclosure variant in service.
