Overview

The Middle Atlantic RK14 is a 14-space (14 RU) knockdown open rack built for AV equipment rooms, security head-end closets, and light IT deployments where you need a structured mounting solution without committing to a welded enclosure. The RK14 ships flat and assembles on-site — useful when routing the unit through a finished doorway or narrow hallway is part of the job. At 20.4 in. wide and 15.91 in. deep with 15.41 in. of usable rail depth, it accommodates most 1U–4U NVRs, video management appliances, PoE switches, and patch panels that make up a typical mid-size surveillance head-end. The 200 lb (90.7 kg) weight capacity gives you margin for a fully loaded 14-space build without worrying about rail deflection. Usable rail depth of 15.41 in. fits most 1U appliances and shallow 2U switches; verify deeper chassis (rackmount UPS, high-density GPU servers) against this figure before ordering — anything requiring more than 15 in. of rear rail clearance will not fit.
